World-class design We’re proud of our strong pedigree in type design. Our Monotype studio has attracted well known type designers from Stanley Morison, who was instrumental in the design of the Times New Roman® typeface in the early 1930s, to Robin Nicholas who heads up our UK studio today. With contemporary designs such as the Arial®, Nimrod® and Columbus® typefaces to his credit, Robin has been designing Monotype faces for more than 40 years. Attention to detail is the key. We draw on from our international design team. In addition, our typeface design expertise extends to collaborative projects with some of the world’ most renowned typeface designers. Through these relationships, along with our internal design expers, we’re able to continually add to our growing resource of new and exclusive typefaces.
